Medical Malpractice-Does An Attorney Need All Your Records?
http://www.oginski-law.com
When you go to a New York medical malpractice lawyer why does he need to see all of your medical records? Maybe you were able to get some of your records and think that's all he needs. Maybe you don't want to disclose treatment you had with another doctor. Maybe you're embarrassed by what's contained in some of your records.
The bottom line: a New York attorney needs to see all of your records. His medical expert needs to see all of your records. Otherwise, there is no way for them to give you an intelligent and educated decision about whether or not your case truly has merit.
For more information about how medical malpractice cases like these work in New York, I encourage you to explore my website http://www.oginski-law.com. If you have legal questions, I urge you to pick up the phone and call me at 516-487-8207 or by e-mail at lawmed10@yahoo.com. I welcome your call.

Blindness in one eye can be socially stigmatizing. People walking down the street may be curious about why you are blind in only one eye. There may be many reasons for blindness including suffering an accident or wrongdoing by a doctor or hospital. Watch the video to learn more.

Firemen Use Jaws of Life in NY Car Accidents
http://www.oginski-law.com
If you have ever seen a major car accident you may have seen the tool known as "Jaws of life" or the Hurst tool. In a car accident, the entire structure collapses forcing the driver and passengers to become stuck inside. Firemen use hydraulic powered tools to get injured victims out of the car.
One tool used is the "Jaws of life" which is used to pry apart metal and steel.
If you live on Long Island, you should appreciate all the efforts of the volunteer firemen and Ambulance personnel who give their time selflessly to help their neighbors in distress.
Watch the video to learn more.

Disfiguring Scars
http://www.oginski-law.com
You are walking down the street one summer day and notice someone in a tank top with horribly disfiguring scars. You think to yourself, "How could they have gotten such scars? Was it from an accident? Was it from surgery?" Are those scars so disfiguring that you are afraid to talk to that person?
Disfiguring scars can be terribly embarrassing for the victim. They may be self-conscious about how they appear during the warm months of the year. Have you ever noticed someone at the beach who always wears long sleeve shirts or long pants? It may be that they have disfigurements somewhere on the body that they simply don't want others to see.
Injured victims who suffer permanent scars often have lifelong reminders about their accident or medical care. These injuries are compensable. People may comment on the scars, and it may cause significant social discomfort. Watch the video to learn about one client I represented who had awful looking scars.
If you know someone who suffered significant injury or deformity, I encourage you to have them explore my website http://www.oginski-law.com to learn more about how cases like these work in NY. Also, if you have legal questions, I urge you to call me because I can answer your legal questions at 516-487-8207 or by e-mail at lawmed10@yahoo.com. I welcome your call.

Who Needs Physical Therapy? NY Accident Attorney Explains
http://www.oginski-law.com
After every type of accident you need some type of treatment. Following the treatment you will almost always require physical therapy in order to regain the strength that you lost as a result of the injury and recuperation time.
Watch the video to learn what defense attorneys typically ask about the type of physical therapy you had.
Most physical therapy involves stretching, strength-building exercises, heat, electrical stimulation, ice, massage, and range of motion exercises. The number of times you appear for physical therapy sessions will depend on how severe your injury is as well as how much progress you're making during each session.

Colostomy & Medical Malpractice in New York-A Disgusting Topic
http://www.oginski-law.com
Today's video tip is gross. Truly. But there is an important reason why I'm talking to you about colostomies.
As a medical malpractice lawyer in New York, I encounter people who have had a colostomy after undergoing surgery where there has been some injury to the bowel.
If you don't know what a colostomy is, it's an opening from your belly that allows your fecal content to come out and be captured in a bag that must be changed frequently every day. This allows your intestines to heal. Once your intestines have healed, your surgeon can close the opening and your bowel can return to normal function.
Why talk about this? Because if you find yourself in a position talking to someone who has had a colostomy, they may be wondering why they needed this in the first place. Watch the video to learn more.

NY Medical Malpractice Attorney Explains Need for Strong Opening Arguments
http://www.oginski-law.com
If you've ever watched a trial on TV or in the movies, you know how compelling a strong opening argument is. The same applies in a real medical malpractice or accident case.
A strong concise opening argument is needed to focus the jury on the key issues in the case and to explain the facts as favorably as possible.
There are many attorneys who lose the opportunity to capture a jury's attention in the first few minutes of trial. Instead of discussing the case, they talk about how the lawsuit and trial process works. This wastes valuable time and opportunity to connect with the jury. Watch the video to learn more.

Hit by Mack Truck in New York City
http://www.oginski-law.com
A woman was hit by a Mack truck while crossing the street at the intersection of 23rd Street and 1st Avenue in Manhattan. She was in the crosswalk, walking with the green light and the walk signal when she was carelessly hit by a huge demolition Mack truck knocking her to the ground. Importantly, there were 3 separate traffic signs for motorists to yield to pedestrians in the crosswalk.
She didn't know who would pay for her surgery to fix her fractured wrist. She didn't know who would pay for the ambulance bill or the emergency room bill. she didn't know how she would get compensated for her lost earnings, or the earnings she was going to lose in the future. She needed legal help and didn't know where to turn or what to do.
This woman came to me asking for help to guide her through the process of making a claim against the truck's insurance company. Ultimately, she needed to file a lawsuit in order for her to get compensated for the pain and suffering she endured through no fault of her own. Watch the video to learn more about this woman's tragedy in a New York City intersection.
