She called on a Friday. Her time limit to start a medical malpractice lawsuit in New York would run out on Wednesday. She wanted me to start her lawsuit immediately!

She told me she had an "Excellent case." It was a "Guaranteed winner," she said. She needed to protect her rights in order to go forward with her "valid" lawsuit.

I had to tell her the reality.

I had to explain to her that there was no way I could possibly help her. There was no way I could possibly evaluate her detailed medical malpractice matter in only a few days.

She did not have any of her medical records. I needed to obtain at least 10 different doctors and hospital records. That takes months. Then, once I obtained all of her records I would have to go through every single page of every single record.
