Depositions-The Most Important Question to Ask
Failure to Diagnose Cancer-NY Medical Malpractice
http://www.oginski-law.com
Early detection and treatment is the key when it comes to treating patients with any type of cancer. A failure to diagnose can have devastating effects on you.
A mis-read mammogram; a failure to obtain a biopsy; improperly interpreted pathology slides; or a failure to listen carefully to a patient's complaints, can all result in a death sentence for an unsuspecting patient.
If you have specific complaints that your doctor is not addressing then you should get a second medical opinion.
You don't want to be sitting in an Attorney's office kicking yourself wondering why you never went to another doctor when you kept complaining about a problem that your doctor simply did not deal with.

http://www.oginski-law.com
Have you ever talked to a doctor who has a chip on their shoulder? Have you ever walked away from an office visit where the doctor was condescending and looked down at you? He (or she) may be the best doctor, but something about that attitude bothers us.
In this video I explain the arrogance of a doctor in a radio advertisement that I heard recently. Watch the video to learn what he said.
If a lawyer were to be so arrogant in their advertising not only would turn everyone off, but it would probably get him in trouble as well. Watch the video to learn why.

Disfiguring Scars
http://www.oginski-law.com
You are walking down the street one summer day and notice someone in a tank top with horribly disfiguring scars. You think to yourself, "How could they have gotten such scars? Was it from an accident? Was it from surgery?" Are those scars so disfiguring that you are afraid to talk to that person?
Disfiguring scars can be terribly embarrassing for the victim. They may be self-conscious about how they appear during the warm months of the year. Have you ever noticed someone at the beach who always wears long sleeve shirts or long pants? It may be that they have disfigurements somewhere on the body that they simply don't want others to see.
Injured victims who suffer permanent scars often have lifelong reminders about their accident or medical care. These injuries are compensable. People may comment on the scars, and it may cause significant social discomfort. Watch the video to learn about one client I represented who had awful looking scars.

New York Medical Malpractice-Client Testimonial
http://www.oginski-law.com
In this video testimonial, former client Rich Lakovits was kind enough to express his thoughts about what happened to his wife, how I was able to help them, and what he thought about my legal services.
Learn why knowing a client's name makes all the difference.
Rich's wife had received dental implants from a general dentist in New York. Only after the dentist abandoned her and all of his patients, they learned that the implants were put in totally incorrectly. These titanium implants would never be able to hold any type of tooth restoration or bridgework. This patient had to start over from scratch.

Who Needs Physical Therapy? NY Accident Attorney Explains
http://www.oginski-law.com
After every type of accident you need some type of treatment. Following the treatment you will almost always require physical therapy in order to regain the strength that you lost as a result of the injury and recuperation time.
Watch the video to learn what defense attorneys typically ask about the type of physical therapy you had.
Most physical therapy involves stretching, strength-building exercises, heat, electrical stimulation, ice, massage, and range of motion exercises. The number of times you appear for physical therapy sessions will depend on how severe your injury is as well as how much progress you're making during each session.

Colostomy & Medical Malpractice in New York-A Disgusting Topic
http://www.oginski-law.com
Today's video tip is gross. Truly. But there is an important reason why I'm talking to you about colostomies.
As a medical malpractice lawyer in New York, I encounter people who have had a colostomy after undergoing surgery where there has been some injury to the bowel.
If you don't know what a colostomy is, it's an opening from your belly that allows your fecal content to come out and be captured in a bag that must be changed frequently every day. This allows your intestines to heal. Once your intestines have healed, your surgeon can close the opening and your bowel can return to normal function.
Why talk about this? Because if you find yourself in a position talking to someone who has had a colostomy, they may be wondering why they needed this in the first place. Watch the video to learn more.

NY Medical Malpractice Attorney Explains Need for Strong Opening Arguments
http://www.oginski-law.com
If you've ever watched a trial on TV or in the movies, you know how compelling a strong opening argument is. The same applies in a real medical malpractice or accident case.
A strong concise opening argument is needed to focus the jury on the key issues in the case and to explain the facts as favorably as possible.
There are many attorneys who lose the opportunity to capture a jury's attention in the first few minutes of trial. Instead of discussing the case, they talk about how the lawsuit and trial process works. This wastes valuable time and opportunity to connect with the jury. Watch the video to learn more.
